首先我们先介绍一下软管泵，软管泵又称蠕动泵。为了消除泵体污染流体或流体污染泵体的危险性，整个泵的装置中只有软管与介质接触。在一般场合下，软管泵使用的都是天然橡胶的软管。内层和外层都是完整光滑的天然橡胶，其目的是很强防磨损。适用于腐蚀性不高但磨损性很大的如泥浆以及无机物等等介质。而且一般适用于脂肪、油类或油脂的介质，以及有机化学物质。内层是橡胶，而外层是天然橡胶或者是复合橡胶。

挤压轮和滑靴的结构设计：
对于软管泵的内部结构，通常有挤压轮和滑靴两种设计方法。对于软管挤压，挤压轮的设计更为柔软，因为当软管被压缩时，挤压轮在软管表面滚动。滑靴的设计不仅压缩了软管，而且在软管表面产生滑动摩擦，使挤压后的管道产生很大的磨损。因此，在采用滑靴结构设计时，必须在泵壳内壁添加足够的润滑油，以帮助延长软管的使用寿命。滑靴的设计和在泵中添加润滑剂，在一定程度上增加了滑靴蠕动泵的复杂性和成本。                   

软管泵的润滑保养注意事项：
（1）侧导辊每隔24小时用油枪从注油咀注油（高温锂基脂GB5671—91）一次，注油时注意侧导辊的松紧情况，若发现过松，用尖咀钳将其旋紧，使侧导辊处于良好的润滑状态，如发现侧导辊有异常声音，经调整松紧，仍不能消除，应考虑侧导辊内铜套是否磨损，将其拆下换铜套。
（2）压辊每隔三个月拆下来保养一次，给内腔和轴承加高温锂基脂（GB5671—91）。
（3）转子轴承每隔三个月加高温锂基脂（GB5671—91）一次。
（4）新的减速机在运行一段时间后，将油箱内的机油放掉，重新加30＃机油。
